Church Service: Sydenham Street United Church Sydenham Street United Church (SSUC), constructed in 1852, is a downtown church and city landmark. Located in historic Kingston, Ontario, we are a part of the United Church of Canada. The congregation, founded in 1811, was one of the first Methodist congregations in Upper Canada. We are an inclusive, affirming congregation who welcome GLBT people fully into our congregational life. F.U.S.E. Youth Group F.U.S.E. is a group for queer, trans*, genderqueer, two spirit, lesbian, bisexual, gay, pansexual, and questioning youth under the age of 19. Operating as both an activity group and a drop-in space, F.U.S.E. is a place to meet friends, get support, foster empowerment and self-reliance, build community, share knowledge and skills, access resources, work on projects together, and have fun doing it. Queer Volleyball Join us in a recreational pickup volleyball league for queers and our allies. We play every Tuesday evening from 7 to 10pm in Gym 3 of LCVI. We ask for $3 per night, or $35 per half-season (about 18 nights), to help defray the costs of buying equipment. You should bring along good indoor sports shoes, knee pads (if you have them), and your sport drink of choice. No experience necessary, it’s a great place to meet other queer folk and get a little exercise. To get there, go to Loyalist Collegiate and Vocational Institute on Van Order Drive, turn in to the south parking lot, go through the double doors next to the auditorium, and go across the building toward the north. Coming Out Living After (COLA) COLA is an LGBT discussion group for the Queens and Kingston community where people of any orientation , and at all stages of the coming out process, can come meet other people and discuss LGBT issues in a comfortable environment.
