The QUEER Listserv
Kingston
Ontario
The Q Forum was created to provide electronic connectivity among Queers at Queen's University and the Kingston community. We use the word Queer to refer to Lesbians, Bisexuals, Gay men, and Transgendered or Transsexual people. The Q forum exists separate from and without official support from any campus or community organization, Queer-oriented or otherwise.
Topics of discussion may range across the board, as all issues experienced by Queers are by definition Queer issues. Issues that pertain to life at Queen's University are encouraged as well as issues affecting the larger Kingston community. Our goal is to provide a safe, enjoyable and supportive environment for discussion. DON'T FORGET TO HAVE FUN!!
If the traffic generated by certain discussions increases to the point where subscribers are unhappy, it may be that those involved in those discussions may be asked to take the matter to private email. The list is not moderated, but the list-owners will add or delete subscribers at their discretion. We would ask that any subscriber refrain from highly inappropriate language, harassment of any sort, and _especially_ that NO message is to be forwarded to a non-list-member if it contains ANY information that could identify another list-member. This list is most-importantly not an 'outing' list. If an individual has chosen not to be out publicly, list-members must respect that choice and not take any action that would result in that individual being outed.
If you have questions, send e-mail to .
