QDG (Queer Discussion Group) meets every Wednesday at 7:30pm at the Ban Righ Center, 32 Bader Lane. The Ban Righ Center is the little brown house on Queen's University Campus situated between Ban Righ Hall and Stirling Hall.
QDG meetings tend to be an informal discussion of a weekly topic. Past topics have included labels/terminology, bisexuality, gaydar, heterosexual privilege, and coming out, among many others. New ideas for topics are encouraged. The topic is a suggestion for the week's discussion, but questions on any and all topics are always welcome. The meeting wraps up around 9:00pm, followed by tea at the Sleepless Goat.
QDG is a supportive and friendly environment, but it is not a professional counseling service. It is also a confidential environment and attendees may use a pseudonym if they wish. All LGBT, queer or questioning people and their allies living or studying in Kingston are welcome (including, but not limited to, Queen's, St. Lawrence and RMC students/staff, Kingston residents and high school students). New members are always welcome. Simply drop by.
Questions, concerns, comments, and topic suggestions should be directed to .
